The Lemonheads have pulled the plug on their scheduled live set at Forest Fest for July 2026.
This comes as the band who were due to play at the Irish show this year, have also cancelled all European shows for the summer.
The decision was made following several changes made to their touring, with several shows failing to materialise, revealing that the remaining dates would not be financially viable, while also expressing their disappointment at being forced to cancel their shows having been looking forward to it.
They also thanked the festival and their fans for being understanding, while apologising to those who had planned to see them specificially.
A joint statement was shared by The Lemonheads' agent, Niall O'Brien of Motion, and manager Alan McGee of Creation.
“It is with regret that we have had to cancel this performance with the band. We work closely with Forest Fest to deliver many great artists to this great event – we believe it is one of the very best festivals in Ireland and we hope to see The Lemonheads return to fulfil their booking next year", they said.
Rescheduled dates for these shows are yet to be announced at the time of writing.
Meanwhile, Forest Fest stated that they are already working on securing the Lemonheads' replacement, with organisers confirming that they are in the final stages of confirming the artist, with an announcement expected to be made shortly.
The festival have also said that they remain committed to delivering a strong line up for this year's edition, and will update fans about a replacement once it is confirmed.
