Thousands of people are expected in Bray, Co. Wicklow this evening to celebrate boxing legend Katie Taylor.
The undisputed lightweight champion will be honoured at the event this evening.
Katie Taylor will be given a hero’s reception on the seafront in her home town this evening following her win in New York last weekend.
She flew home to Ireland earlier this week but will be officially welcomed home later.
One of the organisers, Mick Glynn says thousands are expected to turn up at the event starting from 6:30 pm. He’s urging people to get there early and take public transport where possible.
There will be traffic restrictions on Strand Road and this road will be closed to traffic from 5pm along with restrictions on Meath Road, with local access only.
Des Cahill will MC the event with Katie due to arrive at 7.30.
