Multiple European leaders had to self isolate or restrict movements after spending time with the French President at last week’s European Council meeting.
The Taoiseach had a rapid test this afternoon which was negative for COVID.
However, Justice Minister Helen McEntee is restricting her movements this evening.
A spokesman for the Minister confirmed she is a close contact of someone who is being tested after displaying symptoms, and as a result will restrict her movements pending the result of that test.
It comes amid concern in government about the spread of COVID ahead of the lifting of travel restrictions tomorrow.
