Mick Fleetwood Speaks Out About Upcoming Fleetwood Mac Tour

Fleetwood Mac are set to kick off an extensive North American tour next month. The 52-date stint will see a new incarnation of the legendary band. Before hitting the road the band played two old classics on Ellen. You can check out “The Chain” and “Gypsy” below.

Fleetwood Mac played with their new members Mike Campbell, the long-standing lead guitarist for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and Crowded House lead singer Neil Finn, who were both brought into the mix as replacements to Lindsey Buckingham. During their performance on Ellen , Fleetwood Mac debuted this new lineup live for the first time.

Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, and Christine McVie were joined onstage by Campbell and Finn as this new version of Fleetwood Mac played two classic back catalogue songs. Finn helped lead the band through Rumours staple “The Chain”, while Nicks took over during Mirage selection “Gypsy”.

Meanwhile, Lindsey Buckingham has announced the dates of his US solo tour and it begins just days after Fleetwood Mac resume their first live shows without him. Fleetwood Mac fired Buckingham in April of this year after he apparently disagreed with the band concerning plans to focus on the guitarist’s solo career.

It now looks like the music legends could be going head to head out on the road. The Mac will kick off their North American tour in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 3rd, while Buckingham begins at Portland’s Revolution Hall on October 7th.
