At a recent gig in the world’s most famous arena, talk show host Jimmy Fallon joined U2 on stage. At their third gig of their 8 night stint at Madison Square Garden, U2 invited the host of the Tonight Show up on stage.
Jimmy Fallon came on stage for two songs, an Achtung Baby classic ‘Mysterious Ways’ and one from the Rattle and Hum era ‘Desire’. Fallon’s band from the Tonight Show The Roots, also joined them on stage for a rendition of ‘Angel of Harlem’.
Some of the guests said to be in attendance were Sir Paul McCartney, Nile Rodgers and Alicia Keys. When U2 were performing in Los Angeles a couple of months ago the guest list was also revealed, which boasted an even more high profile bunch of celebs.
At a gig in San Diego a couple of months ago, Noel Gallagher was sat beside Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day at a U2 gig . Besides performing, the band have recently released a short film for their new single ‘Song For Someone’, which featured Hollywood actor Woody Harrelson.
The video depicted Harrelson as someone who was getting released from prison after 16 years. The short video which premiered on Sundance TV also featured his own daughter Zoe Harrelson.
