U2 have released a brand new video for their latest single ‘Song For Somone’. It is an interactive 360 degree video which shows the band playing the song with people from all over the word.

The video was made in conjunction with Apple music and VR company Vrse, which means if you have a Virtual Reality headset you can watch it in 360 degrees.

The video features a number of different singers from around the world playing the song, which director Chris Milk then wove together to create a patchwork of singers singing the song.

The video begins with Bono and The Edge performing the song together in an empty arena. The video eventually fades into other singers before returning once again to The Edge and Bono. You can rotate the video a full 360 degrees with a drag of the mouse to see more of any given scene.

The band posted the video on their Facebook page yesterday with the description reading “Without leaving their homes, singers around the world join Adam, Larry, The Edge and Bono on the #U2ieTour stage for an extraordinary interpretation of #SongForSomeone by director Chris Milk.”
