A 53-year-old woman who was stuck for three days in a lift of a Manhattan townhouse was finally rescued. The house is reported to belong to billionaire investment banker Warren Stephens.
The woman was freed from the elevator after emergency services responded to a 911 phone call made from the home near Central Park.

According to AP via Breaking News, Marites Fortaliza was a member of the cleaning crew at the house and is said to be dehydrated but not in a critical condition. Reporters flocked en masse to what’s understood to be a private residence as NYPD were called to the scene. From the video below it seems no one wanted to talk to the press.

The family said in a statement that Ms Fortaliza was a "valued member of the Stephens extended family for 18 years". Exactly how Ms Fortaliza became trapped in the elevator is being investigated.
