A woman who was accused of attacking Lindsey Buckingham, has claimed that she is his daughter.

This comes after the former Fleetwood Mac guitarist was attacked by a woman, who threw a powdery substance at him in Los Angeles last week. Buckingham was walking into a building when the alleged attack took place.

The assailant had reportedly discovered the time and location of this appointment and was waiting for him on arrival.

The two time Grammy award winner did not suffer any injuries from this attack, with police saying that an arrest was imminent. More on this from Nova here.

While a suspect has not been formally identified, a woman named Michelle Dick who has previous for stalking, harassing and threatening to kill Lindsey Buckingham and his family, has admitted that she approached the musician last week.

"One time, that was last year. But I didn't know I had a restraining order on me. He wasn't a father to me, but he's my birth father", she told a local station, KTLA.

Prior to this, Fox News Digital had reported that Lindsey Buckingham had filed for a restraining order against Michelle Dick in December 2024.

On the petition, Buckingham had written: "I am afraid her conduct may escalate into something physically dangerous to me and my family".

Buckingham went on to detail when this alleged harassment began, including an incident in 2021, when Dick got  "a hold of my wife Kristen's business cell phone number and called the number dozens of times a day sometimes, leaving long drawn-out messages that included the claim that she was my child and threats to kill me and my family".

He added: "She also blamed me for facial deformities she apparently suffered as a child and demanded money. I do not know Ms Dick and I am not her father".

Other incidents include when Dick was pulled over for sitting outside Buckingham's house. She was detained and questioned, where she claimed that the former Fleetwood Mac star was her birth father.

Buckingham also claimed that a few weeks later, he was "awoken out of sleep by nearly a dozen police. When I answered the door, I was handcuffed and asked to step outside my house. The reason given was that a 9-1-1 call had been received stating that my son William was in my house and suicidal, and that the caller had heard gunshots".

"She is clearly mentally unfit and harbours delusions, which makes her scary to me and unpredictable".

A restraining order was granted by a judge at the Los Angeles Superior Court, stating that Michelle Dick must stay at least 100 yards away from Lindsey Buckingham and his family, as well as being order not to harass or make any contact with him in any form.
