Oasis' classic hit Wonderwall is on the verge of becoming the most-streamed song in the world on Spotify, thanks to England's run at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The 1995 anthem has surged to No. 2 on Spotify's global chart after being sung by England fans throughout the tournament.
Following England's quarter-final victory over Norway on Sunday, the song was streamed 3.8 million times worldwide, including 379,000 plays in the UK alone.
Wonderwall is also sitting at No. 2 in the UK singles chart with 15,154 sales, behind Sam Fender and Olivia Dean's Rein Me In. However, it could climb to the top spot if England continue their successful World Cup campaign.
The song has become the unofficial soundtrack to England's tournament, with supporters regularly breaking into singalongs after matches.

England captain Harry Kane and midfielder Jude Bellingham have also been seen celebrating with the anthem alongside teammates and fans.
Spotify data also shows the song's popularity has continued to grow throughout the tournament.
After England's victory over Mexico last week, Wonderwall saw a 306% increase in listeners during the hour after the final whistle compared with the same period the previous day. Streams rose from 1,628 to 6,614, while daily plays increased by 18% to 200,441.
The renewed success has delighted Liam Gallagher, who reacted to another post-match singalong on social media.
"It’s hard work that singing Harry Kane cmon ENGLAND cmon WONDERWALL."

His brother Noel Gallagher has also welcomed the song's role in England's World Cup journey.
Following England's victory over Croatia, where fans and players once again sang Wonderwall together, he said:
"‘Wonderwall’ belongs to the people, and it was a magical moment between the people and the players."

Originally released in 1995 as part of Oasis' second studio album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, Wonderwall remains one of the band's biggest hits and has long been a favourite among football supporters.
If England continue their run in the tournament, the song could soon become Spotify's most-streamed track in the world.
The renewed interest comes as excitement continues to build around the upcoming Oasis reunion documentary, Don't Look Back In Anger, which is set to arrive on Disney+ and in cinemas this year. The film will explore the band's long-awaited comeback and their return to the spotlight.
