Speculation is mounting that Oasis could be preparing a massive 12-night residency at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, as talk of a full-scale 2027 homecoming continues to build.
Reports suggest the Gallagher brothers could return to their hometown venue as part of a major new tour announcement expected in the coming weeks, with sources indicating the band are planning one of the most ambitious live runs of their career.
Liam Gallagher is famously very active on Twitter. Every few nights, he will answer to a bunch of fan tweets, as well as post his own tweets himself. On July 3rd, as a fan prompted the singer saying 'millions of people' are 'waiting for the big O to be back,' Liam revived the rumours of a comeback tour replying 'We're coming.'

The rumoured shows would mark a landmark moment for Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher, taking place at the home of Manchester City, a stadium closely associated with the brothers and their long-standing support of the club.
If confirmed, the residency would come just a year after the success of the Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour, which kicked off in Cardiff and marked the band’s long-awaited return to live performance after years of speculation about a comeback.
The proposed Etihad run is said to form part of a wider touring plan, with additional dates expected to be announced beyond Manchester.
Industry speculation has also pointed towards a potential return to Knebworth, the historic venue where Oasis played two record-breaking shows in 1996.

According to reports, bookmakers have already placed the band among early favourites to headline Glastonbury Festival, further fuelling anticipation of a major return to the UK festival circuit.
The rumours have been widely reported following claims in the Manchester Evening News, which stated that the Etihad Stadium is preparing to host an extensive homecoming run for the band as part of their next touring cycle.
While no official confirmation has yet been made by the band or their representatives, the scale of the speculation has already sparked excitement among fans, particularly given the success of their recent reunion shows.
The original Oasis Live ’25 tour was described as a landmark comeback, drawing huge crowds across the UK and Ireland and reigniting interest in one of Britain’s most influential rock bands of the 1990s and 2000s.

These rumours are following the relase of a brand new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Disney+ Oasis reunion documentary, “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” which just dropped, giving fans their very first glimpse into the biggest rock ‘n’ roll comeback of our time.
Released exactly one year to the day since Liam and Noel Gallagher finally buried the hatchet and kicked off their monumental Oasis Live ‘25 tour in Cardiff, Wales, the new clip teases an unapologetically uplifting, all-access look at the legendary British band.
Presented by Disney+, Magna Studios, and Sony Music, “Don’t Look Back In Anger” is set to hit select IMAX and cinemas worldwide for a limited theatrical engagement starting in September, before streaming exclusively on Disney+ internationally later this year.
