35-year-old Man Appears In Court

A 35-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with a plot to murder another man in Dublin.

He’s the fifth man to be charged in relation to the incident in 2017 and has been remanded in custody.

Dean Howe appeared in court this morning in connection with a plot to murder Dublin man Gary Hanley between 15 September and 6 November 2017.

The 35-year-old of Oakfield Place in Dublin 8 was arrested in Irishtown yesterday morning.
The court heard that he made no reply when charged and he was granted legal aid
Mr Howe was remanded in custody to Cloverhill Prison to appear again via video link on the 22nd May.

He’s the fifth person to be charged in connection with the crime.

In November last year, a 23-year-old was jailed by the Special Criminal Court for 11 years after admitting conspiring to murder Hanley.

Three others were also charged with trial set for 7 October 2019.
