Gardai Appeal For Witnesses After Fatal Car Crash In Meath

A 26-year-old man has died following a crash in Co Meath. It happened outside Kells yesterday afternoon.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to yesterdays fatal crash at Balrath Cross near Kells. The collision, between a motorcycle and a tractor, happened shortly after 4 o’clock.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 26-year-old man, was seriously injured. He was taken to Connolly Hospital in Dublin but died in the early hours of this morning.

The driver of the tractor, a 19-year-old man, was uninjured. Garda forensic collision investigators were at scene and have carried out a forensic exam.

The road was closed but has since reopened.
