Dublin weather as Met Eireann forecasts ‘wintry falls’ and temperatures drop to -2C for Ireland with a chance of snow

There will be a chilly week ahead as temperatures are set todrop to as low as -2C with “wintry falls” on the horizon for Dublin as well as other parts of the country.

It will be a cold and blustery day today with a mix of scattered showers and sunny spells.

Temperatures will reach as high as 7C but it will feel very chilly with fresh and westerly breezes.

Monday night will see temps drop to a low of 2C but it will remain a cold and dry night with just the odd isolated shower.

As the week unfolds, outbreaks of rain and sleet will continue overnight across the country on Wednesday night.

Met Eireann says that there will be a “risk of some wintry falls on higher ground” with temperatures dropping to as low as -1C.

Come Friday, the temperatures will drop to -2C with sharp frost developing on Friday night. There are two warnings in place for the whole country also.

There is a status yellow gale warning and a status yellow small craft warning which were both issued this morning.
