DUP MP Jim Shannon's parliamentary motion to celebrate Dolly Parton is gathering slow momentum with more than 30 signatures.
The move is apparently to mark 50 years since the release of her iconic track "I Will Always Love You".
'Early Day Motion's' are used to put on record the views of individual MPs or to draw attention to specific events or campaigns.
The Strangford MP wished the Tennessee-born singer "continued success as she entertains and encourages so many through her music and inspirational character".

The reaction to the move is decidedly mixed in many circles.
Prominent Barrister and ex-Derry all-Ireland football winner Joe Brolly was unambiguous in his disadain.
