Sum 41 have confirmed that they will split up at the end of their World Tour.
The band who formed in 1996, confirmed this news via Twitter (May 8).
Sum 41 announced plans to disband, following a set of dates which will see the Canadian rock band tour across Europe in the Summer, before concluding with a show in Las Vegas on October 22.
Their tour of the US will also see the band perform on stage alongside The Offspring and Simple Plan. This tour begins in Washington on August 1, before finishing in Massachusetts on September 3.

When this tour finishes, Sum 41 revealed they will split up.
“Being in Sum 41 since 1996 brought us some of the best moments of our lives,” they said. “We are forever grateful to our fans both old and new, who have supported us in every way. It is hard to articulate the love and respect we have for all of you and we wanted you to hear it from us first”.
The post also added, “Sum 41 will be disbanding. We will still be finishing all of our current upcoming tour dates this year, and we are looking forward to releasing our final album “Heaven :x: Hell”, along with a final worldwide headlining tour to celebrate. Details will be announced as soon as we have them”.
“For now, we look forward to seeing all of you skumfuks on the road and are excited for what the future will bring for each of us. Thank you for the last 27 years of Sum 41″.

Sum 41 who consisted of Dave Baksh, Tom Thacker, Deryck Whibley, Frank Zummo, and Jason “Cone” McCaslin, released their debut album ‘All Killer No Filler’ in May 2001.
The album featured some of the band’s biggest hits including ‘In Too Deep’, ‘Fat Lip’ and ‘Motivation’.
