Forest Fest returns for the fourth year running with fans to descend upon Emo Village, Co Laois in July.
This year's festival is to provide an exciting line up, which includes The Charlatans, The Undertones, The Coronas, Deacon Blue, The Sultan of Swings, The Chameleons, Fun Lovin Criminals, The Hoosiers among others.
The event runs from July 24 to 26, with Echo & The Bunnymen, James, and Madness announced as headline acts.
Last month, Black Pistol Fire, Björn Again, Columbia Mills, Andrew Strong, The Bionic Rats, Sadhbh Keane, How I Became A Wave, and The Complete Stone Roses, were also added to the line up for this year's festival.
Previously, Festival Director, Philip Meagher had said: "We are already thrilled with the lineup we have so far - and with our new additions we're adding another layer of quality to what is already a great offering".
"We wanted to ensure that the weekend of FF2026 is going to be the greatest party in Ireland this year, with real quality across the board - from legends of the 80s and 90s such as The Chameleons and Jesus Jones, to the most exciting new bands presently plying the scene such as Dopamine, Byro, Cúr and Sadhbh Keane, all really young acts who we are really excited to give a chance to and let the public see them in a big festival environment. We know they're going to step up to that challenge".
Ahead of this festival, Jim Glennie, bassist for British rockers, James, chatted to our very own Marty Miller.
On what fans can expect to hear from when the band take to the Laois stage, Glennie said they will treat fans to their classic hits, as well as tracks from their 2024 record, Yummy.
Elsewhere, Glennie, who co founded the band in 1982 alongside Paul Gilberston, offered an insight into how the music industry has changed since the 1980s, as well as the joys of working with Factory Records in that period.
Glennie even included some comical anecdotes in his chat with Marty, including touring with Happy Mondays, including rows on stage, and even having their drinks supply stolen!
The bassist also shared another bizarre incident which saw their tour bus break down on their way to a show in Ireland, and having to be taken via helicopter to make the show on time! As Marty said himself, where else could this happen?
