After 33 consecutive days of running marathons across Ireland, London Marathon “Fridge Man” Jordan Adams will complete his extraordinary challenge in Dublin’s Merrion Square Park on Thursday 28th May, bringing one of the most remarkable fundraising journeys ever seen in Ireland to an emotional close.

Thousands of supporters are expected to line the streets and gather at Merrion Square Park between 2.00pm and 2.30pm as Jordan crosses the finish line of his 33rd marathon in 33 days alongside his brother Cian Adams and sister Kennedy Adams.

Jordan began the challenge at the London Marathon carrying a 25kg fridge on his back before travelling directly to Ireland to undertake an ambitious mission — running a marathon in every county on the island in memory of the 12 Irish relatives his family has lost to Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).

Over the past month, communities across Ireland have turned out in huge numbers to support Jordan, joining him on routes, cheering from roadsides and helping drive awareness of dementia nationwide. Dublin will now host the final chapter of the challenge as supporters from across the country gather in the capital to celebrate his achievement.

Jordan and his brother Cian, known as The FTD Brothers, have both tested positive for the faulty MAPT gene, which gives them a 99.9% chance of developing Frontotemporal Dementia in their 40s. Following the loss of their mother to the disease at just 52 years old, the brothers have dedicated themselves to raising awareness and funding vital dementia support and research services.

The challenge has captured attention across Ireland and internationally, raising more than £1.5 million to date for The Alzheimer Society of Ireland and The FTD Foundation.

Organisers are encouraging Dubliners and visitors to come to Merrion Square Park on Thursday afternoon to help create a memorable finish-line atmosphere for Jordan and his family.

Supporters attending are asked to follow all instructions from An Garda Síochána and event stewards and to be mindful of local residents, road users and park visitors throughout the event.
