Luas Red Line services have returned to normal following a power outage that disrupted services across the line on Thursday morning.
The disruption occurred shortly before 7am and affected the entire Red Line, which operates between Tallaght and The Point in Dublin’s East Wall.
Passengers were advised that their Luas tickets would be accepted on Dublin Bus while the disruption continued.
Services resumed shortly after 7.30am following the restoration of power.
The outage comes exactly one week after services on the Luas Green Line in Dublin city centre were suspended due to a fault on the line.
Services were restored later that evening following repairs to an electrical substation.
In a statement, the transport company said the latest disruption was necessary to allow “technical teams to safely reinstate power at a substation”.
