Arctic Monkeys played a show at San Diego’s The Observatory on Wednesday night, 2nd May. They showcased plenty of new material from their imminent album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. Fan footage of the gig is available to watch below.
Coming on May 11th, the band’s sixth album is their first LP since ‘AM’ released in 2013. New tracks, ‘American Sport’ and ‘One Point Perspective’ were premiered the show. A clip shows Alex Turner and his simian cohorts exploring softer piano interludes and warm bluesy guitar work in the new material.
There was also a guest appearance from Tame Impala’s Cameron Avery on two new songs, ‘Four Out of Five’ and ‘She Looks Like Fun’.
