Ash have announced a huge homecoming headline show at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre for later this year.

The County Down rockers announced this date as part of a huge reunion tour, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their iconic debut album, 1977, an album which has been credited with catapulting the band to the rock music map, with hits including ‘Girl From Mars’, ‘Goldfinger’, ‘Kung Fu’, and ‘Oh Yeah’.

The tour will see the band play live across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and Europe, along with a number of UK and Ireland dates. Tickets for these shows are on sale now.

Ash will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of this album with special edition of the record, which will be released across several formats including:  2LP EcoRecord Green & Black ‘InkPlosion’ vinyl, 2CD Digisleeve, and digital.

The digital and 2CD edition will also feature the original 12-track album, along with extra tracks: ‘Bittersweet Blue’, ‘Oh Yeah (2026 version)’, ‘Girl From Mars (Demo 2026 Mix)’, and ‘Gone The Dream (Acoustic 2026 Mix)’.

Disc 2 of the record will include a special live set from STABAL Studios in 2021, where Ash performed the entire 1977 album in full, like including tracks ‘Coasting’, ‘Sneaker’, and ‘Silver Surfer’.

Last year, Ash announced a new double A side single, 'Which One Do You Want' and 'Fun People', which featured contributions from Blur's Graham Coxon.

“It’s been a while since Tim came to us with the most bonkers riff and declared it to be a pop song but I’m very happy he did. Polyrhythmic chromatic riffs might be more the sort of thing you’d associate with Devo but somehow he’s managed to marry it with massive hooks", Ash drummer Richard McMurray said.

“This ain’t your average Ash track. And what better way to underline that than to get guitar wizard Graham Coxon seething all over it? His unique sensibilities lend themselves so well to the angular er, angles of this song, as do his vocals".
