New Order’s Bernard Sumner joined Brandon Flowers and the rest of The Killers on stage last night in The 02 London. It was the second night at the venue for the band, celebrating their fifth studio album ‘Wonderful Wonderful‘.

The band also covered Joy Division’s track ‘Shadowplay‘ earlier in the evening. Sumner joined Flowers and the lads during their encore, for a version of 1986 New Order track ‘Bizarre Love Triangle‘. It’s not the first time that the New Order/ Joy Division founder has performed live with The Killers having also joined them on stage back in 2013.

We reported back in much warmer times of July, that Flowers had told Radio X about the first time he met Sumner… in the toilet at the NME Awards, no less.

“It was our first time going to the NME Awards, and we were starstruck,” Flowers said. “It was an incredible experience for us. We were just happy to be there. I’m in the bathroom. I’m at the urinal. And Bernard Sumner, who’s one of my heroes, steps up next to me.”

The Killers will start the North American leg of their tour on December 5th.
