Bob Dylan kicked off his 2026 tour with a surprise cover of Eddie Cochran's, 'Nervous Breakdown'.
This live cover, which was performed by Dylan last Saturday night at the Orpheum Theater in Omaha in Nebraska, was the first time the music legend has performed this track in his entire career.
The show also saw Dylan play a live acoustic set, having previously opted for an electric set live on stage, with the live set beginning with 'I'll Be Your Baby Tonight', before moving onto 'The Man in the Long Black Coat', which originally featured on his 1989 record, Oh Mercy.
From there, Dylan moved on to 'All Along The Watchtower', as well as 'I Contain Multitudes', as well as 'Don't Think Twice, It's All Right', as well as a cover of Bo Didley's 'I Can Tell', which Dlan had previously performed the track at last year's Outlaw Festival.
But it was Dylan's cover of Eddie Cochran's, 'Nervous Breakdown' which shocked fans most of all.
While the use of mobile phones are banned at Dylan's shows, footage of this live performance was shared online. Check it out below.
The singer had previously announced plans to take this tour into 2026 with 27 shows across the US.
"To all fans and followers of Rough and Rowdy Ways Show . We will see you early Spring 2026, will let you know where and when later", Dylan said at the time.
At the time of writing, Bob Dylan is scheduled to finish the latest leg of his Rough and Rowdy Ways tour in Abilene, Texas on May 1.
