A series of special events, releases, collaborations and fan experiences will take place around the world to celebrate what would have been David Bowie's 80th birthday.
Bowie would have turned 80 on January 8, 2027, and the year-long celebration, titled Bowie80, will bring together events and projects honouring the late music icon and his career.
The initiative will include special releases, anniversary celebrations, collaborations, fan experiences and limited-edition merchandise created especially for the occasion.

The first major announcement is a new partnership with Nordstrom, which will celebrate Bowie with three immersive shops at its flagship stores in Seattle, New York City and Chicago.
The shops will give fans the chance to explore Bowie-related products and experiences as part of the wider Bowie80 celebrations.
Also in the US, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland will host a Bowie retail pop-up from mid-November through January, giving fans another opportunity to mark the milestone birthday.
Events are also planned in the UK and Germany, including celebrations in Manchester, Brighton and Hamburg.

More details about the Bowie80 programme are expected to be announced in the coming months, with further events, releases and collaborations set to be revealed ahead of Bowie’s 80th birthday.
Bowie died in January 2016 at the age of 69, just two days after the release of his final studio album, Blackstar. The album was released on his 69th birthday and became his final musical statement.
The Bowie80 celebrations will give fans around the world an opportunity to mark what would have been another major milestone in the life and career of one of music’s most influential artists.
