Glastonbury has become the latest festival to be cancelled due to coronavirus. The news was confirmed by organisers today.
Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, and Kendrick Lamar were set to appear at the legendary event alongside Diana Ross and Dua Lipa.
The BBC reports that only days ago, organiser Emily Eavis said she had “fingers firmly crossed” the much-loved music and arts festival would go ahead.
However, the Pyramid Stage will remain dark in June, as the UK government advised people to stay away from mass gatherings.
Organisers opted to call off the event before 1 April, when festival-goers were expected to pay the outstanding balance of their tickets
