Christy Moore has announced a special fundraising concert for Gaza.

Taking place next year, (February 16), the show will see the folk singer come to Dublin’s Vicar Street for a show, in aid of Médecins Sans Frontières’, the emergency regional fund for Gaza.

The show will take place in honour of Ahmad Al Sahar, Mahmoud Abu Nujaile, and Ziao Al-Tatari, three doctors who died during the strike at Gaza’s Awda Hospital last week.

Proceeds from this show will go towards the Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders’ emergency response in Gaza.

This response aims to quickly mobilise equipment and medical teams, providing people affected with urgent, living-saving medical care.

Tickets for this show go on sale this Friday (December 1) via Ticketmaster. Find out more here.

Christy Moore Announces Dublin Shows

Christy Moore is currently in the middle of a run of shows at Vicar Street.

Having performed at the venue on November 22, and 26, Moore takes to the stage tonight (November 29), before following this up with shows on 4, 11 and 29 December.

Ahead of that fundraising gig in February, the folk singer will also perform in Vicar Street on the 2nd, 7th, 11th, 16th, and 19th of January.

Tickets for these shows went on sale last August.

This also comes after the singer introduced a young fan onto the stage during a show in Armagh City last October. More on this story from Nova here.
