Rail services in Dublin have resumed following a major signalling fault which caused delays of up to 90 minutes for passengers.

The signalling power supply fault affected all services between Lansdowne and Donabate.

Services impacted included the DART, Belfast services, Northern Commuter, Sligo, Rosslare, Maynooth and M3 Parkway/Hazelhatch routes.

Iarnród Éireann has confirmed that the fault has now been resolved by its technical team.

The disruption is expected to continue easing throughout the late afternoon and early evening.

Passengers travelling on the affected routes are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to check their service before travelling.
