Cork has topped the charts as Ireland's spookiest Halloween attraction.

This comes after it was reported in the Irish Independent that Ireland's Halloween tourism economy is worth €50 million, amid a major increase in popularity in ghost tours, themed evenings, Halloween mazes, pumpkin patches and storytelling nights.

As for the Rebel County, Cork includes two of the top rate haunted attractions in Ireland, including the top rate ghost tour.

SeoBackLinks, experts in internet analysis have used Google Maps listings to rank the most popular attractions across the country. Google Maps assessed the listings for Halloween attractions and their rankings were worked out from the listing reviews, such as, one to five star reviewes.

The top seven attractions kept scores of 4.04 to 4.97 from 5.0, which was one of the highest ratings of any European country.

Such attractions include Cork Ghost Tour, while Kinsale Ghost tour, which is famous for its 'White Lady Ghost' did not have a single one star review. The White Lady Ghost haunts the place of Charles Fort as she seeks her lost love.

Cork Ghost Tour was the most highly rated Irish attraction, with a 4.97 ranking, while Kinsale Ghost Tour was named the second most popular spooky attraction. Other attractions include the Gravediggers Bus Tour in Dublin, Kilkenny Haunted Dark Tour, Farmaphobia in Meath the Ghostbus Tour in Dublin, and the Dublin Ghost Tour.

Meanwhile, SeoBankLinks founder, Oliver Weston called this performance from Ireland impressive, while also advising people looking to enjoy a Halloween experience in Ireland to carefully consult the reviews prior to booking.

“Halloween has its roots in the old Irish festival of Samhain so a ghost tour or a haunt in Ireland has a lot to live up to,” he said in a statement. “What comes through in the reviews is that people don’t just rate the ‘scares’. They talk about the storytelling, the humour and the performers who turn it into a proper night out, and three of these seven average 4.9 or higher". (All quotes according to The Irish Independent).
