1965, The Who made their television debut on the British show 'Ready Steady Go!' performing the song 'I Can't Explain'.
1968, At an adult movie theatre in Las Vegas, Jim Morrison was arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
1977, Pink Floyd released their tenth album titled Animals. The cover was a picture of Battersea Power Station in London with an inflatable pig floating between the towers.
1978, Fleetwood Mac's LP Rumours went to number one on the album chart in America and the UK. To this day, it's sold over 40 million copies globally.
1984, After a Motley Crue gig, Tommy Lee knocked a fan unconscious after he made a remark about the drummer's girlfriend posing for Penthouse magazine.
1998, In a tiny English pub in Santa Monica, Noel Gallagher played an impromptu twenty minute show for 250 lucky punters.
2015, Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler was arrested after officers were called to the Corkscrew Saloon in Death Valley National Park, California. Geezer was arrested for misdemeanor assault, public intoxication and vandalism after a fight broke out in the bar.
2023, Tom Verlaine of 'Television' died.
Tom was the front man and 'Television' were considered on the of greatest Punk Acts.
