Today is deadline day for Dubliners to make their submissions on the Metrolink.

The new high-speed rail line will link Dublin Airport, Irish Rail, DART, Dublin Bus and Luas services.

The project will connect key destinations including Dublin Airport, the Mater Hospital, the Rotunda, DCU and Trinity College.

Originally it was supposed to link up with the Luas Green line on the south side, but with fears, it would close the line for up to four years it was agreed the line will terminate at Charlemont.

The deadline for feedback on the new route is 5.30 this evening.

Once complete, the Metrolink will be able to carry 20,000 passengers per hour per direction, with a journey time of just 20 minutes between the city centre and the airport.
