If you’re looking to visit Dublin’s newest rooftop venue, here’s everything you need to know.

DÍON has now opened at One Central Plaza on Dame Street, serving breakfast, brunch and all-day dining, with prices aligned to premium city-centre restaurants. Floating above the city on the top of the former Central Bank building, DÍON is Dublin’s newest rooftop restaurant and bar, offering 360-degree views, a two-floor dining experience, and a menu built around Irish ingredients.

DÍON serves from morning to night, offering sunrise views over Dublin with breakfast and home-baked pastries, followed by weekday all-day dining and weekend brunch. The rooftop restaurant seats 210 guests, with two semi-private rooms that can host up to 24 each (or 48 combined), plus three bars and lounge areas for more than 100 people.

The bar is exclusively for dining guests, though walk-ins are welcome depending on availability. Reservations are recommended.

Guests enter through the 9th-floor bar before ascending a dramatic staircase to the 10th-floor rooftop dining room, where the panoramic view is the star.

On the food front, Executive Head Chef Neil Mulholland says the focus is on letting Irish ingredients shine. “Wherever possible, we’re using Irish ingredients and techniques that bring out their best,” he says.

DÍON’s menu moves from playful starters like crunchy prawn lollipops and tempura shiitake to dishes including spiced Irish beef carpaccio, Lambay crab soldiers, monkfish curry made with Captain O’Connell’s spices, whole Dover sole, grilled king prawns, and slow-braised short rib. The grill offers premium cuts cooked over charcoal, including John Stone dry-aged fillet, ribeye, a 1kg T-bone, Ibérico pork chop and Veire Irish Wagyu, with optional surf-and-turf additions.

Desserts include yuzu iced nougat glacé, salted caramel tart and an Irish-French farmhouse cheese selection. The drinks list features cocktails inspired by the rooftop’s sweeping views, such as the Breó, Fig Roll’d Fashioned, Walk in the Park, Liberties Pear, Queen of Tarts and Léaslíne. Irish whiskey fans can try the Roe & Co Flavours Experience, a tableside custom cocktail created from a flavour-profiling box.
