Speaking exclusively to Morning Glory's PJ Gallagher & Jim McCabe, the leader of the "Poultry before People Party" claimed he was now ahead in the polls, thanks to the two other candidates being just "too dull and boring".

Following on from last week's exclusive announcement, Dustin said he "fell asleep" while watching a Virgin Media TV interview with candidate Catherine Connolly, despite being on Emerald Park's Cú Chulainn rollercoaster at the time.
The former TV star and Eurovision contestant was looking increasingly presidential, as he arrived decked out in a snazzy suit provided to him by Louis Copeland and Sons (which he said he had borrowed from his buddy, Ray D'arcy). Also now a brand ambassador for Kylemore Cars, the feathered Dublin legend made more promises of freebies to those who give their #1 vote to him.
Meanwhile, addressing his reputation, he insisted there was no skeletons in the closet or scandal to be found about him, and that he's all about the "clean living", adding that anyone digging through his past to look for dirt on the Poultry Party would be disappointed... despite alleged rumours about him and a certain TV star & model from Longford!

Never known to be one for holding back or sitting on the fence, Dustin revelled in the chance to take a pop at everyone from Claire Byrne, both the current government parties and the residents of County Roscommon!
Fielding questions from our own morning messers, he also divulged his plans for Áras an Uachtaráin, how he intends to spend the substantial salary, and what he plans to do on his first day, once he takes up the big job.
