A Garda operation saw €640,000 worth of cannabis seized in Co Kildare earlier this week.

This happened after a business premises in the Ballymore Eustace area was searched, where a “fully operational cocaine production laboratory” was uncovered. Ballymore Eustace is a small town in Kildare on the boarder with Co Wicklow.

It was confirmed that 32kg of suspected herbal cannabis was seized by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue Customs Service, after two vehicles were intervened in this operation in Kildare on Tuesday.

It was also revealed that three men aged in their 30s and 40s were arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug trafficking. They are currently being detained at Garda stations in the Kildare area.
