Eagles 'Greatest Hits' album has been quadruple diamond certified in the US, the first album to achieve this feat.

The album, 'Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975' was released by the band in 1976, and has now sold 40 million copies in the US. It is now the biggest selling album in the country, and the first record to get a platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

To mark this occasion, Eagles are to share a special new edition of the record, which will come on clear, 180 gram vinyl arrive next month, (February 17). You can pre order this album via this link here.

Along with their 'Greatest Hits' album, Eagles 'Hotel California' has also been certified 28 times platinum. The album was also released in 1976.

Back in November, Eagles announced that they would extend their run at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The tour will now extend into March this year, after the band announced extra dates on the 20th, 21st, 27th and 28th.

This makes the band the longest running act to play a residency at the venue.  More on this from Nova here.

The shows "offers fans the ultimate connection to the band’s legendary catalogue in an immersive experience that only Sphere can provide", according to promoters.

To be more precise, his exact words were “I'll tell you this, I'm not holding my breath".

Don Felder served as an Eagles bandmember from 1974 to 2001. Despite ensuing legal battles and rows with former colleagues, Felder remains on good terms with them.

“I really kind of buried all the hatchets in 2000,” Felder explained. “One of the things about writing my book... it was a very cathartic process and was very liberating, it set me free to realize I don't want to carry that stuff with me for the rest of my life. I don't want to have grudges and anger and hatred and all that stuff. I want to be free of that".

“I have no conversations with them about any of that,” he said of a possible return. “I'm going on living my life and being as happy as I can be doing what I do and I really enjoy it". More on this from Nova here.
