Elton John is working on new music, according to reports.
Despite concluding his farewell tour a few months ago, the music legend is reportedly working on a “top secret” new album, which could arrive later this year.
This tour saw Elton John retire from performing live, after more than half a century in the business, with a live stream from the North American leg of this tour earning him his first Emmy Award, and with it EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony) status.

However according to reports, Elton John is still very much a creative force in music, despite stepping away from touring.
“It’s all been very top secret but Elton is back in the studio working on a new album”, a source told The Sun newspaper.
“He adores music and that will never change but the desire to be as busy as he was has waned”.
The source also added that Elton John only stepped away from touring, in order to spend more time with his family, including husband David Furnish, and children Zachary 13, and 11 year old Elijah.
“Elton will still have a Rocket Hour radio show on Apple Music and his finger is very much still on the pulse; he just wants to slow down a bit and spend the time with his family but the new album is coming”, the source explained.
In other Elton news, the music legend is planning to auction off hundreds of art pieces, touring costumes, and other iconic memorabilia at a London auction next week.
