From this morning, 16 of Penneys on-street shops are opening across the country after 12 weeks of closure.
Stores within shopping centres will reopen on Monday.
Despite the stores not opening their doors until 10.30am, eager shoppers have been queuing outside the stores since the early hours of this morning.
Fitting rooms will be temporarily closed off, as well as make-up counters and social distancing will be in place to reduce the spread of Covid-19
“While it might take a little longer to get into store, once inside, customers will find all their favourite Penneys products and plenty of choice as usual. We have worked hard to make sure that clear signage and extra help will be there to guide them through the changes we have made to allow for social distancing,” said Paul Marchant, CEO of Penneys parent Primark.
