Fifty Shades Fan Favourite To Swap Amour For Armalite

Jamie Dornan fresh from the finale of the profitable Fifty Shades of Grey franchise, is set to star in a new action thriller about the IRA.

The Belfast-born actor will play a republican operative in Borderland, which will be set in the bleak 1970s at the height of tensions between the IRA and British government.

Sam Claflin who featured in The Hunger Games, will play the part of an SAS captain who accidentally shoots dead the IRA member’s wife.

Production on the movie, which will be filmed on location in Dublin and London, will begin early this summer. Director, Brian Kirk, who’s worked on Game of Thrones and Luther will oversee the feature.

Dornan who is a popular figure can next be seen in Otto Bathurst’s Robin Hood: Origins while he recently wrapped A Private War opposite Rosamund Pike.
