A man has been charged in connection with a drug seizure in Dublin yesterday. Gardai discovered a large quantity of heroin and cocaine in the seizure.
The man in his late 20s was arrested after Gardaí stopped and searched a car in Ballyfermot. Officers found around 20kgs of diamorphine and cocaine during the search.
The man was questioned at Clondalkin Garda Station before appearing in court earlier this afternoon.
According to Gardai, the discovery occurred after personnel from the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau carried out two searches in Clondalkin and Ballyfermot yesterday.
During the course of the searches, heroin and cocaine (subject to analysis) was seized with an estimated street value of €4m.
