Green Day have confirmed that they will perform two of their classic albums Dookie and American Idiot in full at their upcoming Saviors Tour.

This comes ahead of the band’s upcoming release of their latest album of the same name, which arrives on Friday.

Ahead of its release, Green Day have already previewed singles, ‘The American Dream Is Killing Me’, Look Ma No Brains!’, ‘Dilemma’, and ‘One Eyed Bastard’.

Saviors will also see Green Day reunite with longtime producer Rob Cavalho, who also worked with the band on Dookie and American Idiot.

Green Day had released One Eyed Bastard earlier this month. Check out that track and Nova’s report here.

Green Day To Perform Classic Albums On Tour

Green Day confirmed that they would also perform their two classic albums in full, as well as their latest release on this tour, which kicks off on July 29 in Washington D.C.

The tour will finish on September 28 in San Diego, where will also be joined on stage by The Smashing Pumpkins.

Billie Joe Armstrong and co have been framing this album as a trifecta alongside Dookie and American Idiot.

Dookie put Green Day on the map, selling over 10 million copies in the US, following its release in 1994, while American Idiot became a multiplatinum global smash for the band, after its arrival in 2004.

Following this, commuters along the Rockefeller Center subway station got the shock of their lives, when they spotted Green Day delivering a surprise performance, as part of a segment for ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’.

This saw the band perform six tracks, including American Idiot and Basket Case among others.

This is the latest in several surprise shows delivered by the band over recent months, having delivered an impromptu performance at a London pub last November.
