Green Day treated fans to a surprise performance at London’s Marquis Pub, an intimate gig which they livestreamed via their Instagram account.
This livestreamed, intimate show took place at The Marquis at 9pm, and saw Green Day deliver acoustic covers of 13 songs, including ‘Welcome To Paradise’, ‘Basket Case’, ‘Look Ma, No Brains!’, and ‘American Idiot’.
The band also performed ‘Walking Contradiction’, for the first time since 2001.

“looking to have us some fun”
Ahead of this impromptu gig in London, Green Day drummer Tré Cool said this in a video message.
“Right now, Green Day’s in London, looking to have us some fun then. If I were the fans, I wouldn’t make plans. Keep all your cellies plugged in”, he told fans.

Last month, Green Day also debuted their new track, ‘The American Dream Is Killing Me’ at the ‘When We Were Young Festival’, which took place at the Fremont Country Club.
Green Day also recently announced that they will perform at Marlay Park next year, as part of their The Saviors EU/UK Tour. The show takes place on 27 June next year.
