Ireland head coach Andy Farrell has signed a new contract with the IRFU until 2031.
Farrell has signed a new contract with Ireland until 2031, which is set to see him lead the country into the World Cup in the USA that year. His previous deal, which was agreed in December 2023, was due to run until the end of the 2027 World Cup.
There had been speculation linking Farrell with the England role, and a possible return to Saracens, but he has now committed his future to Ireland.
Speaking to the IRFU, Farrell said: "I am incredibly proud to continue this journey with Irish Rugby".
"It is a privilege to work with such a talented group of players and staff, and to represent the supporters whose passion and unwavering support drive this team forward and inspire us every time we take the field".
"What excites me most is the increasing strength and investment in pathways and the quality of talent coming through", he added. "There is a real confidence in the system that has been built across the provinces and age-grade programmes, and I believe with sustained effort that the best is yet to come".
Appointed in 2019, Andy Farrell has guided Ireland to a Six Nations Grand Slam in 2023, as well as that historic first ever victory over New Zealand in 2022.
He also took charge of the British and Irish Lions side that won their series against Australia during their tour last year.
