Jon Bon Jovi has hinted that he would be open to the idea of former guitarist Richie Sambora re-joining the band.
Sambora who left in 2013, had welcomed the idea of reuniting with the band in the past.
However, Bon Jovi had previously played down rumours of a reunion, describing such rumours as “stale”.
“I didn’t think so, and the collective, we didn’t think so,” Bon Jovi said at the time. “I personally thought that everything was going incredibly fucking well. And it was never brought up in the room, or in the writing, or in the recording, or during the first 20 shows of that tour”.
“never say never”
In a new interview, Jon Bon Jovi did not rule out Sambora reuniting with the band.
“You never say never. I mean, he quit the band 11-plus years ago, and he’s had to deal with a lot of things in his life. But there’s no animosity”, he said.
Back in November, Richie Sambora had said that “it’s time” for Bon Jovi to reunite.
“Yeah, it definitely could happen… It’s just a question of when everybody’s ready to go do it. It will be a big, massive kind of undertaking”, he said.
In other news, Jon Bon Jovi had explained that his touring future remains in doubt, having undergone a complicated procedure for his vocal chords in 2022.
Last month, Bon Jovi also revealed that his son Jake Bongiovi and Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown got married, having announced their engagement last April.
Bon Jovi’s new album ‘Forever’ also arrived last week.
