GNR had to cut short a show in the United Arab Emirates over the weekend, Sunday, November 25th, when singer Axl Rose became “severely ill. The rockers performed almost 20 songs in Abu Dhabi before having to end the show .
Axl spoke to the crowd about his medical condition during the gig, saying, “They’ve got me on IVs and a bunch of injections, ’cause I got sick today, I’ve been throwing up for about the last five hours. So, instead of cancelling, I’m gonna do the best show we can for you.”
Slash wrote on Twitter, “Abu Dhabi, you guys were fucking great tonight! Axl was severely ill. But you all were hugely supportive. Thanks for that. We’ll see again next time! Cheers!”

Not everyone was happy with the concert though, according to Blabbermouth one fan said on social media, “Shouldve stayed in his sick bed! How many hits!? and 1 1/2 hours to play Sweet Child & then Eric Clapton!! Glad I didn’t pay otherwise I’d be asking for a refund!! @gunsnroses.”

While another wrote, “So that’s how you end a tour @Slash @DuffMcKagan @axlrose @gunsnroses ? No patience, night train or paradise city? Disappointed! And you played so well!” However, some fans defended the band,
He sounded good from the songs I heard on the streams. The show was about as long as the show most bands do when they aren’t sick. For the people who are complaining, they should fuck off. Most bands would have cancelled the show.
