Stones guitarist makes surprise appearance at Madison Square Garden.
Keef joined Clapton on the second night of his Crossroads Guitar Festival, jamming with him on the blues standard Key to the Highway. The stones guitarist then announced to the audience that they were going to “rock it up” before launching into a rendition of Sweet Little Rock n’ Roller.The festival, which has been held every three years since 2004, is to raise money for Clapton’s Crossroads Centre in Antigua, which treats substance abuse.
This marks the end of Clapton’s month-long US tour in support of his latest album Old Sock.
