Liam Gallagher has appeared to offer his seal of approval for the final Beatles track ‘Now And Then’.

The track is based on on a 1977 demo, which Yoko Ono gave to the remaining members of the Beatles, following the murder of her husband John Lennon in 1980.

Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison had recorded the track in studio sessions in 1994, before eventually abandoning the project.

However, thanks to the use of AI, surviving members of the Fab Four, McCartney and Starr were able to release a track, featuring Lennon’s vocals.

The music video for track which arrived this week, was directed by Peter Jackson, who had previously directed the 2021 film, ‘The Beatles: Get Back’.

According to Jackson, the video would include “unearthed” and “unseen” footage of the band.

“A Beatles music video must have great Beatles footage at its core”, revealed Jackson. “There’s no way actors or CGI Beatles should be used. Every shot of The Beatles needed to be genuine”. More on this here.

“heartbreaking and heartwarming”

It would now appear that former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher is a fan of the final Beatles track too.

“Now n Then absolutely incredible biblical celestial heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time”, Gallagher said. “long live The Beatles”.

When a fan replied to his post by adding, “Must be sad for Paul and Ringo, piecing this song together without John and George”.

Gallagher responded, “Very sad but beautiful at the same time this is life I guess it’s confusingly delightful all at the same time”.

Elsewhere, a short 12 minute film on how ‘Now And Then’ was recorded was also released this week. More on this here.
