Liam Gallagher has teased a ‘big announcement’ as rumours that Oasis will tour in 2026, including in Knebworth, heat up.

Oasis reunited earlier this year for their bumper Live 25 tour — which included two huge dates in Croke Park back in August — but since the reunion that no one thought would happen, happened, fans who missed out this year are clamouring for the band to go on tour once again in 2026, including in Knebworth; where they played two dates to 250,000 people back in 1996.

With fans hoping and praying for a 30-year anniversary gig in Knebworth, and rumours that they will be doing so heating up, Liam has since teased fans that they’ll be back ‘next year’ — and poured even more fuel on the fire on Wednesday morning.

‘Big announcement coming soon keep your eyes peeled,’ Liam wrote — with fans wondering if they’ll be receiving the news they’ve been hoping for.

‘Knebworthhhhh babyyyyy,’ one commented, while another added ‘will it be Kneb… worth it??’

Knowing Liam, however, some wondered if he’s just messing with them — with one commenting ‘given the last time you said this, the huge announcement was that you were the b****x (true), I DON’T BELIEVE YOU!!!!!’

‘You’re splitting up again?!?’ another wrote, while another commented ‘I bet you’re GIGGLING seeing us all freaking out about this.’

It appears that one of those fans was right, as after teasing fans a little more, Liam simply tweeted ‘I AM THE F**KING B****X.’

Fans of the band have known for the past 30 years to take things Liam says with a pinch of salt, particularly during the Live 25 tour; but Liam may have been sincere when he teased that the ride might not be stopping for the brothers any time soon during a gig in Wembley over the weekend.

The band completed their eighth night in Wembley over the weekend as part of their tour before they head to South America, and before wrapping up the show with a rendition of Champagne Supernova, Liam told the 90,000+ that he’ll see them ‘next year.’

‘I wanna thank you lot for keeping the faith and putting this band back on the f**king map,’ Liam said. ‘Champagne Supernova. See you next year!’ to a deafening roar from the fans.

According to The Sun, the Gallagher brothers have been offered four colossal shows at Knebworth House in 2026, marking the 30th anniversary of their career-defining 1996 gigs — with the odds of them headlining Slane Castle next year also being slashed.
