Commuters are being warned to expect delays and disruption in Dublin city centre following a fire near Trinity College this morning.

Dublin Fire Brigade is dealing with a fire in a building at the bottom of Grafton Street, on the section of the street facing Trinity College.

The area has been closed while emergency services respond to the incident, with the closure affecting both Luas and Dublin Bus services.

Luas Green Line services are currently not operating through the city centre between Dominick and St Stephen’s Green stops.

Luas said the disruption is “due to a non-Luas related incident”.

Dublin Bus has also warned passengers of “delays and diversions” in the city centre “due to an incident near Trinity College”.

The bus operator said services will be “unable to serve stops on Nassau Street and Kildare Street until further notice”.

Commuters travelling through the city centre this morning are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to expect disruption while the incident is dealt with.
