Man Charged With Murder After Fatal Stabbing Of Jennifer Poole

A 29-year-old man has appeared in court this morning charged with murdering mother of two, 24-year-old Jennifer Poole on Saturday.

She was stabbed to death at her home in Finglas. Her partner Gavin Murphy of Coultry Drive, Ballymun appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with her murder.

He made no reply when he was charged just after midnight at Finglas Garda Station. The accused has been remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill district court via video link, on Friday.

The victim was attacked at her home in Melville Drive in Finglas on Saturday afternoon. Gardaí believe that after fatally stabbed her, the accused quickly fled the area.

After being transfered to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, she was pronounced dead shortly upon arrival.

The results of a post-mortem examination have not been released for operational reasons.A GoFundMe page for her funeral costs and young children had raised almost €35,000.
