A man in his 40s was left in a critical condition following a collision in Co Clare on Sunday.
The man was involved in a single vehicle crash, on the R352 at Codyke, East Clare on Sunday evening last.
Both Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene, and the man was taken via ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment, after suffering serious injuries, and remains in a critical condition at the time of writing.
This scene was preserved for a technical examination to be conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions put in place.
Gardaí have also issued an appeal for witnesses of this incident to come forward.
They are particularly interested in any road user who has camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area along the R352 at Ballynahinch, Bodyke between the hours of 11pm and midnight on the evening of Sunday, August 23.
