Jordan Adams, who was diagnosed with early-onset dementia 'Frontotemporal Dementia' (FTD) will begin his challenge a day after completing the London Marathon where he ran 42km carrying a 25kg fridge on his back. As a result he raised over £145,000 though their gofundme page, with 50% of donations going towards Alzheimer Society of Ireland and the rest to their non-profit, FTD Brothers Foundation.
Jordan decided to run the London Marathon with a fridge on his back to "raise awareness and capture attention for the cause."

His decision to embark on this journey and to carry out this challenge comes from a deeply personal diagnosis. Jordan's mother passed away at the age of 52 after living with FTD and has now received the same diagnosis. He is taking on the challenge in memory of 12 of his relatives who have all died from FTD. Seeing himself with the same diagnosis that claimed this life of his family members he has decided to step forward and raise awarness about FTD.
Jordan was diagnosed with FTD back in 2018. “Losing my mum the way I did changed everything, Now being diagnosed myself, I had a choice and I chose to do something that shows life doesn’t stop here," Jordan said.
Jordans challenge began today in Belfast-he will run a marathon every day for 32 days across 32 counties in Ireland.
