Mumford and Sons have reportedly not been asked back to Glastonbury after their frontman tried to steal a sofa from his dressing room.
Speaking in a recent interview, Mumford recalled this incident which saw him attempt to take the piece of furniture from the Worthy Farm event, when the band headlined in 2013. The singer was reportedly desperate for a "memento".
"I got kicked out of our dressing room. I wasn't allowed back in because I tried to steal furniture", Mumford told the Table Manners podcast. "I wanted a memento, so I tried to load the sofa into the back of my van".
But Mumford and Sons have not played at the event since their headline performance in 2013.
When asked if they had played at the event since, Marcus Mumford replied: "No".
Despite this, the singer had nothing but praise for the Worthy Farm event, calling it the best festival on this planet, even though they have not played at the event in over a decade.
"It's just the best festival on Earth", he insisted. "Every other festival tries to be Glastonbury. It's the OG".
Mumford had previously spoken about this incident via his own X account in 2016.
"We came off stage and I tried to nick a sofa from the dressing room - and got chucked out", he said. "They didn't let me back in".
"They'd just had enough of us by the end. And they said, 'Get out and don't come back".
Back in October, Mumford and Sons teamed up with Hozier to release a new single, 'Rubber Band Man'. Check this out here.
